Tecnam Aircraft said it was expanding in India and will transition from a dealership network to a direct-to-factory relationship for all sales, service, and spare parts support across the region. As part of this restructuring, the formal dealership agreement with Air Taxi, and its affiliated companies Art Aviation and Amanra FZC, has concluded. The Indian aviation sector is currently experiencing unprecedented expansion. To meet the specific demands of this maturing market, Tecnam has decided that a direct management model is essential.
Giovani Pascale Langer, Managing Director of Tecnam, said: “India is a key market that demands our highest level of attention. By establishing a direct connection between our headquarters and the Indian operators, we are positioning Tecnam to better support the steady growth of major flight schools and airliners in the region. Our institutional partners and commercial operators require immediate, unfiltered access to our support and sales teams to maintain their operational tempo. This direct structure allows us to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them as they expand their fleets.”
This direct-to-factory model guarantees:
- Direct Access: A closer relationship between Indian operators and the Tecnam manufacturing and engineering teams in Italy.
- Streamlined Support: Faster processing for spare parts, warranty claims, and technical assistance.
- Unified Sales: A single, authoritative channel for acquiring the complete range of Tecnam aircraft, including the P-Mentor, P2008JC, P2010, P2006T, and P2012 Traveller.
Company launches P2006T NG in USA and Canada
Tecnam announced it has launched its P2006T NG (Next Generation) in the United States and Canada. The P2006T NG represents the latest evolution of Tecnam’s twin platform, building on the outstanding global track record of the P2006T MkII and the strong market reception of the P2006T NG, which is already in active delivery and operation across multiple international markets.
Over the years, the P2006T family has become one of the most trusted and widely used twin-engine aircraft worldwide, particularly within professional flight training organisations. This success has been driven by its proven reliability, low operating costs, and suitability for modern multi-engine training environments. The Next Generation version further refines this platform with extensive enhancements developed in close cooperation with operators and training academies around the world.
The P2006T NG is already validated and operating in several countries outside North America, reinforcing Tecnam’s confidence in the platform’s readiness for the US and Canadian markets. “The success of the P2006T MkII worldwide has confirmed the strength of this platform, and the P2006T NG represents its natural evolution,” said Walter Da Costa, Tecnam Chief Sales Officer. “With the NG, we are bringing to the United States and Canada a twin-engine aircraft that has already proven its value internationally, combining efficiency, reliability, and modern technology tailored to the needs of today’s flight academies and private operators.”
