flightseftyJet Aviation announced that it has recently delivered its quietest and lightest cabin interior to date. The cabin was also the completion center’s first installation of flexible Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED) screens in a VVIP interior.

“Our recent redeliveries have continued to lead the industry in crafting exceptionally quiet and comfortable cabins without compromising on weight,” says Jeremie Caillet, Jet Aviation’s senior vice president for regional operations EMEA. “To redeliver an aircraft that is not only light, but also exceptionally quiet, is a fantastic achievement, and testament to our continued work and innovation in this area. As we strive towards creating the ultimate customer experience, we are excited to continue to lead the industry in developing and shaping what is possible in cabin acoustics.”

The cabin also featured three certified 55-inch curved OLED screens integrated on either side above the window line, following the curvature of the ceilings. Installation into the cabin wall in this way reduces the cabinetry required to house the screens, providing further opportunity for reducing the weight of the cabin and maximising the floor space of the interior.

“The integration of the curved screens is a further step in our innovation journey as we continue to push the boundaries of VVIP completions,” said Caillet. “Not only do they provide opportunities for reducing the weight of the cabin, but they open up a new realm of possibilities in design and entertainment. We are extremely proud to be setting these new industry standards as we continue to innovate on behalf of our customers.”

In order to certify the screens in-house and install in line with aviation requirements, Jet Aviation worked with an electronics partner on a series of qualification analyses and tests to meet temperature, vibration, weight, sound, electromagnetism, flammability, and stress aviation standards. The completion center is able to install the curved screens in both completion and refurbishment projects.

New investments in US facilities
Jet Aviation announced that it is continuing to invest in global business aviation infrastructure. In service of growing customer demand, the company is currently investing in its Bozeman, Montana, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Houston, Texas facilities. Jet Aviation has broken ground on a new 40,000 square-foot hangar at its Bozeman facility, scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2023. The new hangar will be able to accommodate any large cabin jet.

“We see strong demand for hangar space and the growing need to accommodate large cabin jets,” said Danny Larsen, Jet Aviation’s vice business development and real estate. “According to market data, the U.S. business jet fleet increased by 34 percent with a physical footprint of 27.5 million square-feet, between 2010 and 2020. Jet Aviation manages some 300 aircraft worldwide with a significant number being large cabin, and as such, we are delighted to be expanding our US infrastructure to support this demand and offer solutions for our current and future customers.”

In Houston, the company is also in the process of rebuilding 30,000 square-feet hangar, renovating 6,000 square-feet of FBO lobby space and upgrading 4,500 square-feet of office space. With the aim to improve customer and employee experiences, the completion of these projects will span across the fourth quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.

In addition, the company is constructing an 18,000 square-foot hangar in Scottsdale with completion set for the second quarter of 2023. The hangar will accompany the facility’s existing 30,000 square-foot hangar bringing total hangar capacity to 48,000 square-feet. Jet Aviation opened its Scottsdale FBO in 2020 and won Aviation International News’ “Top Flight” Award for Best New FBO in 2021.

The company’s strategy focuses on expanding its global business aviation infrastructure in support of changing customer needs. Jet Aviation operates 30 FBOs in key locations across the U.S, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
