TransNusa Aviation is increasing the frequency of its flights for its Bali – Perth route to 14 times a week from its current sevenTransNusa Aviation is increasing the frequency of its scheduled flights for its Bali – Perth route to twice daily or 14 times a week from its current seven times a week.

“We will increase the frequency of flight in two phases. First phase will see TransNusa’s scheduled flights increasing from 7 times weekly to 11 times weekly. The additional four flights will be scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and the first phase will begin on July 2,” said TransNusa Group Chief Executive Officer Bernard Francis

With regard to the second phase, Datuk Francis said that TransNusa will increase its scheduled flight frequency from 11 times weekly to 14 times weekly starting July 18. This announcement comes a little more than two months after TransNusa successfully launch its scheduled flights to Perth from its base in Bali on March 20, 2025.

Francis explained that TransNusa has plans to further strengthen and enhance its offerings to passengers in a bid to increase passengers’ comfort on all its flights. “The move to enhance our customer comfort is part of our plan to grow TransNusa as a secure and caring brand in line with our Premium Service Carrier status,” Francis explained.

TransNusa’s additional scheduled flight, 8B 082 (DPS-PER), will depart at 12.55pm from the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport and arrive at Perth Airport at 16.55pm on July 1 onwards. While TransNusa flight, 8B 083 (PER-DPS), will depart Perth Airport at 18.05pm and arrived at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 21.50pm. TransNusa will continue to operate its current scheduled flight, 8B 080 (DPS-PER), which departs Bali at 09.10am from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport and arrive the Perth Airport at 12.50pm. The flight, 8B 081 (PER-DPS), will depart Perth Airport at 13.35pm and arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali on 17.20pm. TransNusa will be utilising its Airbus A320 that has a seat capacity of 174 for this international route that has a 3 hours and 40 minutes flight duration.

Air New Zealand will launch a seasonal Christchurch–Adelaide service, giving travellers a direct link between two vibrant cities and opening the door to more trans-Tasman adventures. Starting 27 October 2025, the service will operate twice a week on Monday and Friday through to 27 March 2026, with around 15,000 seats available for travellers to book across the season. Fares start at $340 one way. Operated by a narrowbody Airbus jet, the new route further strengthens Air New Zealand’s commitment to growing connectivity across the Tasman and responding to strong demand for travel between Australia and New Zealand’s South Island.

Air Astana launches new routes to Azerbaijan, Germany
Air Astana launched a new flight between Atyrau in western Kazakhstan and Baku, capital of Azerbaijan on 31st May 2025. Services operated by Airbus A320/A321 aircraft  are scheduled three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with a flight time of approximately 1.5 hours. Air Astana additionally commenced direct flights from Almaty to Frankfurt on 1st June 2025. Services operated by Airbus A321LR aircraft are scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with a flight time of 8 hours and 25 minutes. The new Almaty to Frankfurt route operates in addition to the airline’s existing services from Astana and Uralsk to Frankfurt. Air Astana has signed an updated codeshare agreement with Lufthansa to operate joint flights on Almaty-Frankfurt route, which offers passengers enhanced connectivity through the combined networks of both airlines.

TAP Air Portugal launches direct service from Terceira to San Francisco
TAP Air Portugal has launched a direct flight from the Azores to San Francisco, connecting UK and Irish passengers travelling via Portugal to California. Starting 3 June, one of TAP’s flights between Lisbon and San Francisco is scheduled to stop in the Azorean island of Terceira. Flight TP241 will operate on Tuesdays using the Airbus A330neo. This direct flight between the Azores and San Franciso will serve the 300,000-strong Azorean community in California and UK or Irish passengers heading to the US.

flydubai strengthens presence in Europe with four new destinations:
flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier, continues to grow its network with the launch of flights to four new destinations. This includes the start of flights to Chișinău and Iași from September 2025 in addition to Riga and Vilnius from December 2025, expanding the carrier’s network in Europe to 35 destinations across 20 countries. This announcement makes flydubai the first UAE carrier to offer direct flights between Dubai and Iași International Airport (IAS) in Romania. The carrier first started operating to Romania in 2012 with the launch of flights to Bucharest. This also marks the carrier’s first entry into the Baltic region with a direct service to Riga International Airport (RIX) in Latvia and Vilnius International Airport (VNO) in Lithuania, increasing the number of underserved markets on its network to more than 100 destinations.
