News in brief on AAR Eaton Embraer Republic Airways Binter ATR Mauritania Airlines StandardAero ITP Aero and MRO providersNews in brief on AAR Eaton Embraer Republic Airways Binter ATR Mauritania Airlines StandardAero ITP Aero and MRO providersAAR named an aerospace authorised service centre by Eaton: AAR and Eaton signed an agreement for AAR to become an authorised service centre for Eaton’s commercial aerospace customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Under the agreement, AAR will provide local repair and overhaul of Eaton’s hydraulic components for large commercial aircraft. The services will be performed at AAR’s Component Services facility in Amsterdam. This service agreement strengthens the repair capabilities for Eaton’s hydraulic products by ensuring the use of official repair documentation and maintaining consistency through OEM spare parts via a new authorised service centre. “Our strategic agreement with AAR demonstrates our commitment to improving customer satisfaction by offering airlines expanded options for hydraulic pump repairs and extends our collaboration beyond spare parts distribution,” said Matt Norman, vice president, Aftermarket and Commercial Services for Eaton’s Aerospace Group. AAR will initially concentrate on hydraulic pump repairs for commercial customers in EMEA, with plans to broaden its portfolio to additional products and regions in the future.

News in brief on AAR Eaton Embraer Republic Airways Binter ATR Mauritania Airlines StandardAero ITP Aero and MRO providersEmbraer and Republic Airways sign long-term MRO extension: Embraer has signed a long-term agreement extension with Republic Airways to provide heavy maintenance for its fleet of more than 240 E170 and E175 jets. The aircraft will be serviced at Embraer’s Services & Support facilities in Nashville, Tennessee, where Republic Airways has been performing heavy maintenance on its E-Jets since 2011. In addition, Embraer also provides components and drop-in AOG repairs. “We are very excited to extend our relationship with Republic Airways. This renewed agreement reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality maintenance services to our customers. We will continue to prioritize safety and quality for Republic Airways and all our customers across the United States,” said Frank Stevens, Vice President of MRO Services at Embraer Services & Support. Republic Airways has completed more than 650 heavy maintenance visits and logged over 3.3 million labour hours at Embraer’s facilities in Nashville. The extended agreement will cover an additional 225 heavy maintenance visits and secure three dedicated maintenance bays for Republic at Embraer Services & Support facilities, ensuring continued capacity and scheduling flexibility.

News in brief on AAR Eaton Embraer Republic Airways Binter ATR Mauritania Airlines StandardAero ITP Aero and MRO providersBinter signs MRO agreement with ATR: ATR and ATAVIS, the Binter entity in charge of technical procurement and supply chain management, have signed a Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) to provide tailored support for 26 ATR 72-600 aircraft, operated by CANAIR and NAYSA. The Global Maintenance Agreement is ATR’s flagship service offering, designed as a strategic enabler to help airlines focus on their core mission: connecting communities with safe, reliable, and efficient aircraft. The GMA offers a flexible, scalable solution for on- and off-aircraft maintenance, tailored to each operator’s needs, whether they are launching new routes or expanding their fleet. This five-year agreement with Binter, covering a comprehensive Repair loop service on a pay-by-hour (PBH) basis, and encompassing 180 part numbers, is the result of extended discussions to understand the airline’s challenges, and provide them with services that are 100% adapted to their needs. By joining ATR’s GMA community, Binter will benefit from predictable maintenance costs aligned with aircraft usage, helping optimise cash flow and reduce operational risk. The airline will gain access to ATR’s extensive technical expertise and supplier network, which means best-in-class practices, enhanced reliability and improved efficiency of the airline’s operations across the Canary Islands.

News in brief on AAR Eaton Embraer Republic Airways Binter ATR Mauritania Airlines StandardAero ITP Aero and MRO providersMauritania Airlines taps StandardAero for LEAP work: StandardAero announced it has been selected by Mauritania Airlines, the flag carrier airline of Mauritania, to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) support for the CFM International CFM56-7B and LEAP-1B turbofan engines powering its fleet of Boeing 737NG and Boeing 737 MAX 8 narrowbody aircraft. StandardAero has already inducted an initial Mauritania Airlines CFM56-7B engine at its Winnipeg, MB location, and a maiden LEAP-1B engine at its San Antonio facility.  These shop visits extend Mauritania Airlines’ relationship with StandardAero, which has previously provided APS 2300 auxiliary power unit (APU) repair services from its Maryville, TN, facility in support of the airline’s Embraer E175 fleet. StandardAero is a CFM International authorized CFM56-7B MRO provider, and has provided the global CFM56-7B operator community with a comprehensive range of MRO services from its Winnipeg location since 2010.  In addition to its existing Winnipeg capabilities, StandardAero now also provides CFM56-7B MRO support from its DFW International Airport location in Dallas, TX, which is seeing strong demand from Boeing 737NG operators and asset owners.  These newly introduced capabilities offer operators the confidence and convenience of a second CFM56-7B engine line, enabling StandardAero to accommodate the MRO requirements of its customers around the world while also providing the assurance of test cell capability redundancy.

News in brief on AAR Eaton Embraer Republic Airways Binter ATR Mauritania Airlines StandardAero ITP Aero and MRO providersOntic to open new dedicated MRO facility: Ontic has announced the opening of a new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. The purpose-built site will transform how Ontic supports airlines and operators, delivering faster turnaround times, greater transparency and the confidence of OEM repairs. At launch, the site will unite Ontic’s 200 MRO specialists – from engineers and technicians to customer service, supply chain and logistics experts – in a single hub with dedicated IT systems. The site is built for growth and the team is set to expand as Ontic expands its offering within the MRO arena. As the license holder for thousands of product lines, Ontic holds the proprietary data, tooling and test equipment required to repair components to OEM standards. The result is longer-lasting repairs, each backed by a warranty, all delivered at the speed and reliability operators expect. The facility will open in a phased program beginning in January 2026, with the site planned to be fully operational by Q4 2026. Purpose-built for aerospace, the 64,000sq ft facility includes pneumatic and hydraulic infrastructure, avionics workshop with ISO7 Clean room, non-destructive testing (NDT), a machine shop and a dark room, with significant additional footprint for future expansion as Ontic secures further product licenses. Tewkesbury is part of Ontic’s $30 million global investment in MRO facilities, building capacity and capability on both sides of the Atlantic. In the UK, the facility is in the process of securing CAA, EASA, FAA and CAAC approvals – while in the US, Ontic’s Miramar site has recently achieved FAA approvals, underlining the company’s global aftermarket strength.

News in brief on AAR Eaton Embraer Republic Airways Binter ATR Mauritania Airlines StandardAero ITP Aero and MRO providersITP Aero adds capability for PW1100G-JM engines: ITP Aero has been selected as a repair provider by Pratt & Whitney for the PW1100G-JM engine, the highest-volume model in the GTF family. ITP Aero will perform repairs on the No. 4 bearing in the Turbine Inner Case, a component manufactured by ITP Aero. This new agreement builds on ITP Aero’s disassembly, assembly, and test designation for the PW1500G engine with Pratt & Whitney. The repair scope includes advanced processes such as plasma spray coating, electron beam welding, precision machining, and the manufacture of forged rings. Alan Jones, Executive Vice President of MRO at ITP Aero, stated: “We are honored to be selected by Pratt & Whitney as a repair provider for the PW1100G-JM engine. This agreement highlights our technical expertise and strengthens our role in supporting the GTF engine family.” Repairs will be conducted at ITP Aero’s Ajalvir facilities in Spain, further solidifying the company’s position as a trusted partner in advanced engine component repair.
