HK Express Airways (HK Express) officially resumed its direct flights connecting Hong Kong with Ishigaki, Japan, and Nha Trang, Vietnam. The airline now operates daily flights to Ishigaki Airport (ISG) and four weekly flights to Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR). Travellers can flexibly arrange “Open-Jaw” trips to freely explore 13 destinations in Japan and 4 in Vietnam, making every journey full of delightful surprises!

HK Express Airways also announced the launch of exclusive direct flights between Hong Kong and Changzhou in Jiangsu Province, commencing on 23 May 2025. This new route marks HK Express’s fifth destination in Chinese Mainland. With three weekly flights to Changzhou Benniu International Airport (CZX), customers can reach this dynamic city in just over two hours.
Akasa Air launches operations from Darbhanga
Akasa Air commenced operations from Darbhanga today, marking its entry into Bihar. The airline will operate daily through-flights between Hyderabad and Darbhanga via Delhi, with no change of aircraft required at Delhi. This new route enhances connectivity between the tourist hub and two major metro cities. Darbhanga becomes the 28th destination added to Akasa Air’s expanding network, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to enhancing air connectivity from metro to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across the country.

Vietjet launches four new routes between Vietnam and China

Vietjet has launched four new non-stop services connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to Beijing and Guangzhou in China. These routes mark a key milestone in Vietjet’s continued expansion in 2025, which also includes other new routes to India, Japan, and Singapore, highlighting the airline’s robust growth and commitment to strengthening international connectivity. The new routes feature daily services from Ho Chi Minh City to Beijing and Guangzhou, and from Hanoi to Guangzhou. Meanwhile, the Hanoi-Beijing route initially operates thrice a week before transitioning to daily service from April 27, 2025. Additionally, a new Hanoi-Shanghai service will commence on April 29, 2025, offering daily flights. Since its first flight from Vietnam to China in 2014, Vietjet has strengthened its flight network between the two neighbouring countries, which now covers more than 50 destinations across China. This network offers budget-friendly flights for millions, contributing to the promotion of cultural, economic, trade, and tourism exchanges across Asia.
