Boeing recently launched the Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development (BUILD) programme 2026. Developed in partnership with the National University of Singapore (NUS), the programme brings NUS students, graduates, alumni and early-stage entrepreneurs in Singapore to develop aerospace-focused solutions and accelerate talent development in the industry. NUS is Boeing’s first university partner in Southeast Asia for the BUILD programme.
The BUILD programme will connect participants with Boeing experts, industry mentors and innovation resources to help transform ideas into real-world solutions for the aerospace industry in Singapore.
“BUILD underscores Boeing’s commitment to nurturing aerospace innovation and talent in Singapore and the region,” said Penny Burtt, president, Boeing Southeast Asia. “NUS is a well-established leader in advancing aerospace innovation in Singapore, and we’re excited to partner in our inaugural edition to translate aviation solutions into real-world impact.”
“We are delighted to partner with Boeing on BUILD, where our students and start-ups tackle aerospace challenges and build their ventures through hands-on workshops and mentorship,” said Dr Tan Sian Wee, NUS Senior Vice President (Innovation and Enterprise). “Boeing brings deep engineering expertise and industry perspective, giving participants first-hand insight into how ideas are tested, refined and deployed. They are also plugged into the regional innovation ecosystem to turn prototypes into scalable impact.”
The 2026 cohort marks the first time Boeing has launched the BUILD program in Singapore, positioning the country as a regional hub for aerospace innovation and university-led entrepreneurship. BUILD will welcome ten finalist teams to an NUS Enterprise-led bootcamp, culminating in a demonstration day in May 2026.
