Emirates is bringing forward its Perth A380 services to 1 November 2022. Initially scheduled for a 1 December return, the A380 service will be available a month earlier, expanding on the current capacity available to customers with the addition of more than 160 seats per day. The Emirates A380 scheduled to operate on a daily basis to Perth will offer more than 500 seats each way.

Barry Brown, Emirates Divisional Vice President Australasia said: “Due to the consistently high demand for international travel out of Western Australia, we are thrilled that Perth will be joining our A380 network earlier than planned, which comes right as we proudly celebrate 20 years of flying to the city.

“We would like to thank our Western Australian passengers for their loyalty. We are excited that from November, they will be able to enjoy our flagship A380’s signature amenities, industry-leading products and generous space across all classes once again.”

EK420 will depart Dubai at 02:45 and arrive in Perth at 17:20 the same day while EK421 will depart from Perth at 22:20 and arrive in Dubai at 05:25 the next day. The daily A380 service will replace the current Boeing 777-300ER operation between Perth and Dubai.

This year, Emirates is celebrating 20 years of flying to Perth, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to Australia. Since its inaugural flight to Perth in 2002, the airline has flown nearly 6 million passengers between Perth and its Dubai hub.

In Australia, Emirates also operates its flagship A380 aircraft with double daily services to both Sydney and Melbourne, and a daily service to Brisbane. On 1 August, Emirates also introduced its newly retrofitted A380 featuring its latest Premium Economy cabin to Sydney. Both Sydney services will offer premium economy from 15 December 2022 and Melbourne from 1 February 2023.
