Australia-based airline Skytrans has awarded TP Aerospace a Land For Less (LFL) Program. The program will cover the Australian airline’s first A319, as well as all additional Airbus aircraft, which are expected to be introduced to the airline’s fleet over the next years.
The airline’s first A319 marks an important step in the company’s strategic vision to grow its fleet and enhance its ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) offering to the Australian market. With Skytrans’ new aircraft addition, TP Aerospace will be providing and ensuring safe and reliable component management in support of Skytrans’ passenger, cargo and business operations across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, which TP Aerospace has a strong and continuously growing presence in.
“We are incredibly delighted to welcome more Australian based customers to TP Aerospace’s portfolio. Our Australian presence has grown over the years parallel to our customers demand, as we continue to deliver high quality service and support to current and new Programs customers in the Oceania region”, says Vice President, Global Program Sales Philip Broskov Hansen.
“As we commence ACMI operations across Australia and the Asia-Pacific with Airbus aircraft, it’s imperative to have credible and trustworthy maintenance partners in place. We’re delighted to be working with TP Aerospace who already have a strong footprint in Australia as well as being specialists in the types of aircraft we are bringing into service, including the A319 we have recently welcomed for operations across the region”, says Skytrans’ Deputy Managing Director, Marijus Milasius.
Service and support will take place from TP Aerospace’s MRO sites in both Melbourne and Brisbane to match Skytrans’ rapid expansion plan. TP Aerospace’s first Australian located wheel and brake maintenance and warehouse facility opened in Melbourne back in 2016, later expanding with an additional facility in Brisbane in 2023.
Skytrans is an Australian-based passenger airline and a member of the world’s largest ACMI provider, Avia Solutions Group. Skytrans is the first ACMI provider in Australia who is part of the Avia Solutions Group, which covers a total fleet of 221 aircraft around the world. With an Australian Air Operator Certificate (AOC), Skytrans strengthens the group’s market position by addressing seasonality challenges.
