Aviation FestivalALSIM announced the University of Nyíregyháza located in Hungary has selected the ALSIM AL250 simulator equipped with the Engineering Pack to strengthen its pilot training and engineering programs.

The AL250 simulator addresses the initial phases of training needs (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and is a SEP/MEP re–configurable simulator certified as an EASA FNPT II. In addition, it offers both classic and glass cockpit for each flight model at the simple flick of a switch. This device has been extremely well received since its creation and more than 100 of these have already been installed and are in successful operation worldwide.

The ALSIM Engineering Pack empowers engineering students to be completely independent to design and test aircraft models on the ALSIM AL250 simulator. Integrated within MATLAB and Simulink, ALSIM Engineering Pack offers endless possibilities to create custom concept instruments, extract nearly 4000 editable variables, modify aircraft flight characteristics, integrate external pilot monitoring systems and generally support research trials.

Zoltán Kovács PhD, Vice-President for International Relations and Innovation, College Professor at the University of Nyíregyháza, explains “The increasing number of students in the Pilot Training Program at the University of Nyíregyháza required the acquisition of an FNPT II SEP/MEP simulator. The ALSIM simulator offered the optimal solution for the requirement published in the tender. We are proud of the new feature, the Engineering Pack, that enables a deeper insight into the relationship between aircraft properties and handling qualities, improving the competencies of future pilots.”

Anna LEZORAY, Sales Manager at ALSIM, commented: “We are thrilled that following complex and diligent tendering process the University of Nyíregyháza has chosen ALSIM AL250 flight simulator coupled with the Engineering Pack add-on, as the most suitable for their current and future training needs. It is a pleasure to officially welcome the University of Nyíregyháza among ALSIM’s customers and we are looking forward to our long-term and fruitful cooperation.”
