Acron Aviation has announced a significant training project with All Nippon Airways to provide ANA with advanced Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) and Virtual Flight Deck (VFD) technologies, delivering cost-effective, flexible training solutions for maintenance technicians and pilots. These systems will allow ANA teams to conduct lessons virtually, reducing the need for physical aircraft simulators.
The Acron Aviation VMT is a simulation-based tool used globally by airlines, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MROs), universities, and training centers. It reduces training costs and improves operational efficiency by enabling maintenance teams to recreate and practice a wide range of aircraft fault isolation tasks based on the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM).
The VFD takes training further by allowing interaction with fully functional virtual flight decks. Trainees can explore panels, controls, indicators, and displays in real time, practicing systems mastery and flight procedures, including non-normal conditions —within a dynamic, free-play environment.
