Woodward and AFI KLM E&M announce elite-level licensing agreement: Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has signed an Elite Licensed Repair Service Facility (LRSF) Agreement with Woodward to support the CFM International LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. Under this agreement, AFI KLM E&M is now authorised to deliver a full suite of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for Woodward components across the CFM LEAP engine family. This includes fuel controls, actuators, pumps, and valves-critical systems ensuring optimal engine performance and reliability. “This agreement marks an important milestone in expanding our LEAP engine support capabilities and further strengthening our collaboration with Woodward,” said Anne Brachet, Executive Vice President Air France-KLM E&M. “As the LEAP fleet continues to grow, our priority is to provide our customers with reliable, high-performance MRO solutions that ensure operational continuity and cost efficiency. This partnership reinforces our commitment to delivering best-in-class support for next-generation engines.” AFI KLM E&M’s Americas subsidiary Barfield expands component repair support for AerFin: Barfield, a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) in the Americas, has signed a three-year component repair and overhaul agreement with AerFin, an aviation asset specialist that buys, sells, leases, and repairs aircraft, engines, and parts. The agreement covers components supporting A320 family, A330, E170/E190, and Boeing aircraft, and further strengthens the long-standing relationship between the two companies. This renewed agreement further reinforces the continued long-standing relationship between the two companies and highlights Barfield’s ongoing commitment to keeping JetBlue’s aircraft flying safely, reliably and on time. We take immense pride in the dedication and expertise of our team members, and we are pleased to see this partnership continue to grow together.” Barfield supports JetBlue with Donecle’s inspection drone solution: Barfield Inc., a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) in the Americas, supports JetBlue in the deployment of Donecle’s advanced drone solution to streamline and digitalise aircraft inspection processes across its fleet. Under this agreement, Donecle’s autonomous drone technology will initially be deployed to perform lightning strike and hail damage inspections, reducing operational disruptions and improving maintenance efficiency. The solution will subsequently support routine scheduled inspections, contributing to faster turnaround times and enhanced reliability. The initial rollout will take place at key JetBlue stations in New York, Orlando, and Boston, with the ambition to reduce inspection times and optimise maintenance operations. In parallel, JetBlue will conduct a fleet-wide automated scan across its A320 and A220 aircraft families, enabling enhanced technical records and data traceability. “This collaboration highlights our commitment to supporting innovative inspection solutions in the Americas,” said Gilles Mercier, Chief Executive Officer at Barfield. “We are proud to contribute to the acceleration of drone adoption and to support JetBlue in enhancing the efficiency and digitalisation of its maintenance operations.” Barfield, as Donecle’s distributor in the Americas, will provide technical and logistical support for the deployment of the drone solution.
