TransNusa adds more flights on Jakarta-Singapore route

Indonesia’s TransNusa has announced a schedule increase to four daily flights between Jakarta and Singapore, reinforcing its position on this key international corridor. The transition to a four-times-daily scheduled flight follows the recent expansion from two to three flights daily, reflecting steady passenger demand and the airlines’ operational capacity to support increased traffic on the route. The fourth flight takes off from Jakarta today at 17.40 and arrives Singapore at 20:20. It departs Singapore at 21:20 and arrives Jakarta at 21:55. “Scaling our presence to four daily flights on the Jakarta-Singapore corridor reflects the growing trust in the TransNusa brand,” said Datuk Bernard Francis, TransNusa Group Chief Executive Officer. “In addition, securing successive frequency approvals from a world-class gateway like Changi Airport demonstrates our operational reliability and alignment with high aviation standards,” he added. “Having introduced our third daily frequency in April 2026 and moving quickly to launch a fourth daily scheduled flight, emphasizes our commercial agility,” highlighted Datuk Bernard, adding that the high-frequency schedule allows TransNusa to directly serve both corporate and leisure guests with premium flexibility at accessible price points.” The frequency increase not only builds directly upon the airline’s transition from two to three flights daily but also upon the airline’s recognition at the Changi Airline Awards 2026, where Datuk Bernard led TransNusa to became the first Indonesian carrier to win the “Top Airlines by Absolute Passenger Growth (Southeast Asia)” award from the Changi Airport Group, just 17 months after starting operations at the airport. Operating the route with its modern Airbus A320 fleet, TransNusa’s schedule provides morning, afternoon, and evening options. Flights depart from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and land at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 4. Etihad increases Damascus to a daily service as demand grows Etihad Airways will operate a daily service to Damascus from 14 November 2026, increasing the route from four to seven weekly flights. Since its inaugural flight in June, the route has established itself as an important link between the UAE and Syria, serving families, business travellers and guests continuing across Etihad’s network. The move to a daily schedule offers each of them considerably greater choice in when they travel. Many Syrians have built their careers and raised their families in the UAE. For them, a daily service means a journey home can be planned around a family occasion or a long weekend. Arik De, Etihad Airways Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer, said: “Damascus has been an important addition to our network, and a daily service is the natural next step. It brings the Syrian capital within easy reach of our guests in the UAE, and places Damascus just one stop from the many destinations we serve beyond Abu Dhabi.” From Abu Dhabi, guests travelling from Syria can continue onward with Etihad to destinations across the Gulf, Asia and North America, including Toronto and Calgary, Etihad’s newest destination in North America, as well as New York, Charlotte, Muscat and Malé.
