Vectored Approach transitions to an all-Tecnam training fleet

Tecnam announced that Vectored Approach Flight Academy is transitioning to an all-new Tecnam fleet. The academy has purchased two Tecnam aircraft, with a third currently on order, to modernise its training operations. The new fleet will feature the Tecnam P-Mentor and the P2010 MkIII 180hp which will serve as the workhorses of the Vectored Approach Flight Academy. The P-Mentor is an EASA-FAA CS-23 IFR certified two-seat trainer. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Garmin G3X glass cockpit and powered by the highly efficient Rotax 912iSc fuel-injected engine, it offers the lowest fuel consumption and CO2 emissions currently available for IFR training. The P2010 MkIII 180hp IFR is a modern, single-engine four-seater aircraft that combines advanced Garmin G1000 NXi avionics with exceptional handling, making it ideal for IFR pilot training. The MkIII version has a Flight Management System (FMS) keyboard which brings advanced flight planning and navigation capabilities directly to the pilot’s fingertips. As part of the agreement, CPaT will provide DHL’s pilot training program with NextGen B767-300 Freighter Aircraft Systems training, B767 Flat Panel Display System training, Interactive Diagrams, General Subjects, and CPaT Invent.
