Tecnam announced the official delivery of the first P2012 Traveller to Tropic Air Charters. The milestone was initially celebrated with a special acceptance ceremony at Tecnam’s global headquarters in Capua, Italy, where the Tropic Air Charters executive team travelled to personally review and receive their new aircraft, which successfully completed its transatlantic ferry flight and arrived in Florida recently. Announced earlier this year at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, this delivery is the first of a two-aircraft acquisition agreement. With the brand-new P2012 Traveller now officially on the ramp in Florida, Tropic Air Charters’ fleet modernisation program has formally commenced. The operator is purposefully phasing out its legacy Britten-Norman aircraft. The P2012 Traveller is perfectly tailored to execute Tropic Air’s mission of connecting South Florida to the Bahamas. The transition to the P2012 significantly elevates the customer experience, offering high-end charter passengers a spacious, air-conditioned cabin, premium interiors, modern USB ports, and expansive windows for panoramic views of the Caribbean waters. Operationally, the aircraft’s advanced avionics and twin-engine reliability ensure the ultimate peace of mind for over-water flights, while its Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) capabilities guarantee unhindered access to the shortest and most demanding island runways in the Bahamas. “Traveling to Capua to see our first P2012 Traveller roll off the production line and complete the acceptance process in person was an incredible experience,” said Anthony Marinello, President of Tropic Air Charters. “The Italian craftsmanship and attention to detail are outstanding. Seeing the aircraft officially arrive on our ramp in Florida yesterday makes it all real. We are thrilled to introduce our clients to a completely elevated era of comfort, safety, and reliability for their Bahamian travels.” “It is always a proud and special moment when we welcome a customer to our headquarters in Capua to hand over the keys, and even more exciting when that aircraft successfully touches down at its new home,” said Francesco Sferra, Tecnam P2012 – Special Mission Platforms Sales & Business Development Manager. “Tropic Air Charters is dedicated to providing a premier travel experience in a high-frequency, island-hopping environment. We are honored to support their fleet transition and are excited to see the P2012 Traveller become the absolute benchmark for luxury and reliability in the Caribbean charter market.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Matt Driskill at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Head of Sales Sally Passey at [email protected]
