Textron Aviation wins CASA Part 145 approval for Australia

Textron Aviation announced it has received Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Part 145 approval for its Australian maintenance organisation. The approval applies across Textron Aviation’s Service Center network in Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast, establishing one of the most comprehensive OEM-owned support footprints in Australia. CASA Part 145 approval recognises that Textron Aviation’s maintenance organization has the systems, personnel, processes and oversight required to perform and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with Australia’s rigorous aviation standards. The approval provides customers with confidence that maintenance is performed within a CASA-approved system while supporting consistent quality, compliance and technical expertise across all three company-owned Service Centers strategically located across Australia. With more than 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft operating in Australia, the approval further strengthens Textron Aviation’s ability to support customers through local expertise backed by the resources of one of the industry’s largest service networks, providing access to CASA-approved maintenance, modifications, overhaul services and aircraft-on-ground support closer to where they operate, helping reduce downtime and keep aircraft flying. ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia completes first heavy check on Falcon 8X ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, has completed a ‘C-check’ on a Falcon 8X, marking the first heavy maintenance check on this aircraft type amid the growing regional demand. The Falcon 8X which is operationally based in Asia underwent this scheduled maintenance at ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia’s heavy maintenance facility at Subang Airport, which is equipped to support major inspections on all in-production Falcon aircraft types. A Falcon C-inspection is a major maintenance check with extensive inspection of aircraft structures and systems, and is typically required after eight years of service. This project is significant for ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia as it reflects a broader trend of Falcon operators based in Asia increasingly seeking maintenance support within the region. The facility is scheduled to perform  additional C-inspections on Falcon 8X’s this year, with aircraft arriving from other parts of Asia. According to the recent Asian Sky data, the Falcon 8X is a popular ultra-long range business jet in Asia Pacific with close to 20 aircraft operating in the region. “Completing the first C-inspection on a Falcon 8X demonstrates the growing confidence Falcon operators have in our facility and technical capabilities”, says Ivan Lim, Regional Vice President Asia, ExecuJet MRO Services. “As the number of Falcon aircraft expands in Asia-Pacific, operators are now increasingly looking for high-quality maintenance support within the region.
