Milan Bergamo Airport targets Asia and Middle East

Milan Bergamo Airport said is committed to driving growth and connectivity beyond Europe and plans to capitalise on the potential in Asia and the Middle East. With the introduction of several key routes connecting Milan Bergamo to major destinations in west Asa and the Gulf, carriers will expand their operations to the area and offer added connectivity to distant markets. Asia and the Middle East represents not only a lucrative market for Milan Bergamo Airport but also a gateway to further expansion. The airport said it is well-positioned to attract more airlines and routes connecting to destinations across Asia, opening up new opportunities for travellers and businesses alike. In order to capitalise on this potential, Milan Bergamo Airport is working toward expanding its route network and forging strategic partnerships with airlines to introduce new routes and increase flight frequencies. This summer, Milan Bergamo Airport is excited to announce flights to five destinations in the region, including Istanbul, Dubai, Sharjah, Amman, and Tel Aviv. Over 470,000 seats are on offer between Milan Bergamo Airport and the Middle East and Asia during the 2024 summer season. The decision to enhance connectivity with Asia and the Middle East reflects Milan Bergamo Airport’s strategic vision for growth and expansion. With the region emerging as a pivotal economic powerhouse and a hub for global trade and commerce, tapping into this market presents significant opportunities for the airport and the wider region.
