Lufthansa Technik announces multiple MRO deals

Boeing and Lufthansa Technik have renewed their longstanding Tailored Parts Package (TPP) agreement, continuing a collaboration designed to improve parts availability and make costs more predictable. The three-year renewal was announced at MRO Europe. The agreement covers more than 6,500 Boeing part numbers across all Boeing commercial aircraft platforms, enabling Lufthansa Technik to provide its airline customers with enhanced material availability, streamlined procurement processes and greater cost predictability. Boeing assumes supply chain execution for the defined parts covered by the agreement, while Lufthansa Technik leverages the program to further strengthen its component support capabilities. The collaboration allows Lufthansa Technik to secure access to critical parts, reduce sourcing complexity, and enhance planning reliability for customers operating Boeing fleets. “A healthy, stable aviation supply chain depends on experience, capability and reach. This agreement brings those strengths together to help customers plan their parts needs with greater confidence,” said William Ampofo, Senior Vice President, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain at Boeing Global Services. “Reliable access to material is a key factor in maintaining aircraft availability and operational efficiency,” said Thomas Boettger, Vice President Corporate Procurement at Lufthansa Technik. ”Through this renewed agreement with Boeing, we further strengthen our ability to provide customers worldwide with dependable parts support across all Boeing aircraft platforms. The combination of broad parts coverage and secure supply chain access creates tangible value for airlines in today’s demanding operating environment.” Pegasus Airlines expands base maintenance partnership Pegasus Airlines, one of Europe’s fastest-growing low-cost carriers, continues to expand its base maintenance partnership with Lufthansa Technik. During the 2026/27 winter season, Lufthansa Technik Sofia will provide base maintenance services for at least 23 Airbus A320 family aircraft across two dedicated maintenance lines. For the first time under the agreement, two end-of-lease aircraft redelivery projects will also be included, reflecting the continued expansion and increasing complexity of the cooperation between the two companies. The 2026/27 winter season marks the third year of the multi-year agreement signed in 2024 and reflects the continued growth of a partnership built on mutual trust and operational performance. In addition to the established C-check program, the upcoming maintenance program will include two aircraft redelivery projects supporting the transition of aircraft from Pegasus Airlines to new operators at the end of their lease terms. Traditionally performed separately from scheduled maintenance activities, the redelivery projects have been combined with the established C-check program to support Pegasus Airlines’ fleet transition requirements while maximizing operational efficiency. “As our fleet has grown significantly in recent years, so have our technical operations requirements. Lufthansa Technik has consistently demonstrated the flexibility, quality and reliability needed to support this growth. This expansion marks another milestone in our partnership, combining routine C-check activities with aircraft redelivery projects in a way that supports both our operational and fleet planning objectives. We highly value the close cooperation between our teams and look forward to continuing this successful relationship,” said Kristofer Kuzulidis, Senior Head of Contract and Service Procurement. at Pegasus Airlines. “Pegasus Airlines’ growth journey is also reflected in our cooperation,” said David Sturz, Corporate Sales Director at Lufthansa Technik. “What started with individual maintenance events has evolved into a long-term partnership. Since 2012, we have successfully completed over 100 checks for Pegasus Airlines and the upcoming winter season will mark another important milestone in our collaboration. The integration of end-of-lease projects into the maintenance program is another sign of the trust we have built together and demonstrates our ability to adapt maintenance solutions to our customers’ changing operational needs.” All services under the agreement will be performed exclusively at Lufthansa Technik Sofia, one of Lufthansa Technik’s key base maintenance facilities for narrowbody aircraft in Europe. Wizz Air renews AVIATAR Technical Logbook Wizz Air announced a new long-term agreement with Lufthansa Technik to continue using AVIATAR’s electronic Technical Logbook. The renewed contract further strengthens the long-standing digital collaboration between the two companies and reinforces Wizz Air’s commitment to efficient, data-driven and paperless technical operations. Since joining AVIATAR in 2018 and becoming the launch customer for the electronic Technical Logbook in 2021, Wizz Air has been among the leading adopters of Lufthansa Technik’s digital fleet solutions portfolio. The AVIATAR Technical Logbook, seamlessly integrated with the AMOS maintenance and engineering platform, enables real-time collaboration between flight crews, maintenance controllers and engineering teams. Through the solution, technical issues can be reported digitally and shared instantly with maintenance teams, accelerating defect resolution, improving data quality and reducing manual effort. Since implementation, Wizz Air has reported a reduction of more than 25 percent in Maintenance Control Center calls, while manual documentation efforts can be reduced by up to 50 percent. The new agreement further strengthens Wizz Air’s participation in Lufthansa Technik’s Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem. Alongside AVIATAR’s Technical Logbook and the AMOS maintenance and engineering platform, Wizz Air also utilizes solutions from flydocs, the ecosystem’s asset and digital records management specialist. Together, the three ecosystem partners support end-to-end technical operations through integrated digital workflows across maintenance execution, operational data management and aircraft records management. The agreement builds on a partnership that began in 2018, when Wizz Air joined Lufthansa Technik’s newly launched AVIATAR platform. In 2021, the airline became the launch customer for AVIATAR’s Technical Logbook solution, creating one of the industry’s largest digital pilot-to-maintenance workflows.
