Indra commissions 4 new ATC centres in 4 different countries in 1 week

Indra has reached a new milestone in air traffic management and demonstrated its global capacity to undertake simultaneous critical projects by completing the commissioning of four control centres in Argentina, India, Indonesia, and Peru in a single week. The company has developed these projects and supported all the implementation, validation, and commissioning phases in partnership with the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) in each of the countries – the Argentine Air Navigation Company (EANA), the Airports Authority of India (AAI), AirNav Indonesia, and the Peruvian Corporation of Commercial Airports and Aviation (CORPAC). The new systems now allow for integrated route, approach, and tower management through advanced technology that enhances the safety, efficiency, and capacity of the airspace. More specifically, in Argentina, Indra has put into service the control centre system at Ezeiza International Airport, the busiest in the country, as part of the modernisation plan to unify the five Argentinian control centres under the same technological platform and provide coverage to the entire national territory. Likewise, in Indonesia, the company has completed the entry into operation of the control centre system in Jakarta, which is tasked with the management of about 40% of the air traffic in the country, together with the commissioning of the new voice communications system. In India, Indra has implemented the system due to serve the new Noida/Jewar International Airport, which has been integrated into the main control centre in Delhi to enhance interoperability in one of the world’s fastest-growing regions in terms of air traffic. Finally, in Peru, it has deployed the system set to serve the national control centre, Lima International Airport, and a network of remote towers, which will also incorporate a new voice communications system to improve operational coordination across the country. “The commissioning of four air traffic management systems in a single week demonstrates Indra Group’s ability to successfully execute highly complex projects alongside air navigation service providers from different countries. In the last month, Indra has put into operation the first radar for the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Putnam (Oklahoma), as part of the historic program to upgrade the country’s radar system that envisages the deployment of 185 devices. Moreover, it has furthered the deployment of new radars in the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Colombia, and other international strategic projects, thanks to the coordinated work of its teams and specialists across the world.
