Air Moana is entering a new stage of its development with a comprehensive equity strengthening initiative of up to nearly €17 million. Fenua Financement and Rattel AERO are supporting the opening of part of the share capital of NATIREVA, the company operating the Polynesian airline Air Moana. The transaction is intended to provide Air Moana with the resources required to continue its development in the inter-island air transport market in French Polynesia. The overall financing round will combine several sources of funding and different categories of investors. As part of the transaction, a tranche of approximately €5 million will be opened to private investors through Fenua Financement, Les Entreprêteurs and Rattel AERO. Founded in 2022 and operational since February 2023, Air Moana currently serves several of French Polynesia’s main destinations from Tahiti. In a territory comprising 118 islands spread across a maritime area comparable in size to Europe, air transport plays an essential role in territorial connectivity, the mobility of local communities and the development of tourism. Operating an airline also requires significant capital resources, particularly to finance the fleet, support the expansion of the flight programme and strengthen operational and commercial capabilities. The transaction now underway is intended to enable Air Moana to consolidate its development and support the growth of its business over the coming years. It comes as the airline continues to structure its network and expand its offering in the French Polynesian domestic market. Part of this capital increase will be available to new investors through the issuance of preferred shares. The investment is intended to be held over a medium- to long-term horizon, with a targeted liquidity horizon of approximately six to seven years, subject to the successful implementation of Air Moana’s development plan and prevailing market conditions. In French Polynesia, subscriptions will be offered through Fenua Financement, the local crowdfunding platform operated in partnership with Les Entreprêteurs. Certain international investors may also access the transaction through Rattel AERO, a platform specialising in investment opportunities related to the aviation and aerospace sectors, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. The project is expected to go live in early September 2026, subject to the finalisation of the legal, financial and regulatory documentation. “Air Moana was created to give Polynesians and visitors to our islands greater choice and better access to air travel. Since our first flights in 2023, the trust placed in us by our customers has enabled us to build and develop the airline. Today, we want to give them, as well as new investors, the opportunity to take part in the next stage of this journey and in the development of inter-island air transport in French Polynesia,” said Olivier Jean Breaud, President of Air Moana “This transaction demonstrates the ability of crowdfunding to support ambitious industrial projects in French Polynesia. Our objective is to provide investors with a structured, well-documented and transparent framework enabling them to participate in the development of a Polynesian air transport operator,” said Pierre Poher, Managing Director of Fenua Financement.
