Lufthansa Technik welcomes new talent: As Lufthansa Technik celebrates 70 years of vocational training this year, a new personal chapter is beginning for many young people. With the start of the 2026 training and academic year, the company welcomes 287 new apprentices and dual students across its German locations. Demand remained high this year, enabling all available positions to be filled. Bangkok Airways net profit for first half: Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited (BA) announced its operating results for the second quarter and first half of 2026, reporting a net profit of THB 2,431.8 million for the first six months of the year, representing a 16.3% increase. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, said, “In the second quarter of 2026, the Company recorded total revenue of THB 6,052.5 million, an increase of 5.5%, while total expenses amounted to THB 5,533.1 million, up 11.7%. As a result, the Company reported a net profit of THB 332.6 million for the quarter. “For the first half of 2026, the Company recorded total revenue of THB 13,934.7 million, an increase of 3.0%, while total expenses stood at THB 10,622.5 million, up 2.3%. This resulted in a net profit of THB 2,431.8 million, an increase of 16.3% compared with the same period last year. The results reflect the Company’s ability to generate revenue and effectively manage costs amid economic volatility and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.” Avion Express Brasil achieves IOSA certification: Avion Express Brasil, a subsidiary of Avion Express and part of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) provider, has achieved IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification. The milestone confirms that the airline’s operational management and control systems meet internationally recognized aviation safety industry standards and marks an important step as Avion Express Brasil continues to expand its presence across the Brazilian and Latin American markets. “ACMI airlines must meet the highest operational requirements, as our model depends on integrating seamlessly into our partner airlines’ operations while ensuring operational excellence. Achieving IOSA certification confirms that our systems, procedures, and safety culture meet the industry’s rigorous international standards.
