AAR’s Trax solutions selected by Magnifica Air: AAR’s Trax subsidiary will lay the digital foundation for Magnifica Air’s maintenance and engineering operations. Magnifica Air is a Florida-based luxury airline introducing Private Class – a new category that bridges the gap between commercial first class commercial and private jet aviation. Positioned to launch in 2027, Magnifica Air has selected Trax’s cloud-hosted eMRO platform and eMobility solutions to support fully paperless operations from the airline’s outset. The decision to deploy Trax’s mobile technology aligns with Magnifica Air’s broader vision of combining high-end service with a streamlined, technology-driven approach. The implementation of Trax’s cloud-hosted eMRO platform and eMobility solutions will enable flight crew and maintenance teams to execute tasks, capture data, and manage compliance directly on mobile devices, improving visibility and accuracy without the need for traditional paper-based processes. “Magnifica Air represents a new generation of airline operators that are building modern operations without legacy constraints,” said Rajan Bindra, Trax’s Vice President of Business Development. “By adopting Trax’s mobile solutions, Magnifica Air is laying a strong digital foundation for compliant, optimized, and scalable maintenance operations.” Tecnam Delivers US-based P2012 Traveller to private owner: Tecnam announced the delivery of the first US-based P2012 Traveller equipped with Continental engines to a private owner. Don Davis has selected the P2012 Traveller as the primary logistical and transport link for Spanish Cay, a private island destination in the Bahamas. This delivery marks a significant milestone for the P2012 program, showcasing the aircraft’s versatility not just as a regional airliner, but as a versatile, safe, and premium platform for private mobility and essential utility operations. Spanish Cay is a remote, privately owned island featuring a marina, resort, and residential properties. Accessible only by sea or via its private airfield (MYAX), the island relies entirely on external logistics for sustainability. The P2012 Traveller will serve as a vital lifeline, operating between the US mainland (Florida) and the island. The aircraft’s mission profile is diverse and demanding. It will be utilized to transport fresh food supplies and equipment necessary for the island’s marina, restaurant, bar, and hotels. Additionally, the P2012 will provide premium comfortable transfer for guests and personnel, as well as serve as a rapid response vehicle for urgent transportation needs. JAA TO and Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority launch training cooperation: The JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) is pleased to announce the launch of a new training cooperation framework with the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority. The initiative marks the beginning of a structured collaboration aimed at strengthening aviation regulatory expertise and supporting the professional development of Romania’s aviation personnel. The agreement builds on the productive first meeting and state visit held in August 2025 in Bucharest, which laid the foundations for closer collaboration. Through this framework, the Authority in Romania will gain structured access to JAA TO’s portfolio of specialised aviation regulatory training programmes in areas such as Safety Oversight, Airworthiness, Aerodromes, Aviation Security, and Safety Management Systems. The two-year agreement – signed by Nicolae Stoica, Director General of the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority and Paula V. de Almeida, Chief Executive Officer of JAA TO on the occasion of JAA TO’s annual High-Level Training (HLT/7) Workshop for ECAC Member States – reflects Romania’s commitment to investing and upskilling its aviation workforce on the backdrop of strengthening regulatory expertise and alignment with European and international aviation standards. Travelport and Icelandair extend partnership: Travelport, a multi-source content provider that powers bookings for hundreds of thousands of travel suppliers worldwide, today announced a multi-year content agreement with Icelandair, extending a partnership that dates back to 1993. The multi-year agreement provides Travelport-connected travel agencies with continued access to Icelandair’s full range of content and competitive fares across its network. The deal also includes access to Icelandair’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) content, with implementation timing to be confirmed.
