Syensqo signs multi-year supply agreement with Airbus: Syensqo has secured a new long-term supply agreement with Airbus. Under the contract, Syensqo will continue to supply a broad range of advanced materials from its portfolio including prepregs, RTM resins, adhesives, and primers to support Airbus programs across commercial aircraft, space and defence, and helicopter platforms. “Syensqo is proud to continue supporting Airbus programs through this new supply agreement,” said Rodrigo Elizondo, President, Syensqo Composite Materials. “This contract reflects our long-standing commitment to the aerospace industry and reinforces our position as a trusted partner to one of the sector’s leading OEMs. We look forward to deepening our commercial and technical collaboration with Airbus as we work together to support the future growth of aerospace manufacturing.” Aerospace continues to be an important growth driver for Syensqo, with sustained demand in civil aviation expected to support volume growth in its composite materials business throughout 2026. Flydubai increases frequencies to Naples and Milan: Flydubai has increased its daily operations between Dubai and Naples and is set to boost its flights to Milan-Bergamo to a double-daily operation from 31 July, further enhancing passenger connectivity to Italy and expanding its offering to its network in Europe. Due to scheduled maintenance works at Naples International Airport (NAP), the airline will temporarily operate daily flights from Dubai International (DXB) to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi and Cilento Airport (QSR) from 01 to 30 November 2026, before resuming services to Naples International Airport (NAP) from 01 December. During this period, passengers with existing bookings to Naples will be automatically rebooked onto flights to Salerno, ensuring their journeys continue without disruption. The temporary switch offers seamless connectivity for passengers travelling between Dubai and Naples, while reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global hub for travel, trade and tourism. With the increased frequencies, the carrier will serve Italy with a double-daily frequency to Milan-Bergamo, daily flights to Naples, thrice-weekly flights to Catania, alongside seasonal summer flights to Olbia, operating twice weekly until the end of August. CFS Aero selects Ramco Aviation for engine, APU MRO tech: Global aviation software provider Ramco Systems announced that it will implement its next-generation Aviation Software at CFS Aero, a leading UK-based aerospace engineering company providing OEM and MRO services across aircraft engines, APUs, and aerospace systems. The engagement will support CFS Aero’s engine and APU maintenance, repair and overhaul operations through Ramco’s unified digital platform. With modules for Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Customer and Commercials Management, and Accounting, Ramco Aviation Software will provide CFS Aero with an integrated platform to manage engine and APU shop visits from contract to cash. The solution will support the organization in its efforts to digitise its maintenance workflows, drive operational efficiency, and continue delivering superior service to its customers. Ramco’s digital capabilities will provide CFS Aero with real-time visibility into costs and revenues across its engine and APU MRO operations through cost accrual tracking, budget cap monitoring and multi-stage invoicing. The platform will also provide complete configuration lifecycle management with as-built records, service bulletin and airworthiness directive effectivity tracking, automated engine condition monitoring, and digital maintenance execution through mobile-enabled task cards and electronic sign-offs. Together, these capabilities will help the organization further optimize productivity, support paperless operations and maintain compliance across its engine and APU MRO business. TrustFlight adds AI to personal effects recovery software: TrustFlight announced the launch of PersonalEffects, a new artificial intelligence application developed for Kenyon, its crisis management and response capability. The launch marks Kenyon’s 120th anniversary and reflects TrustFlight’s continued investment in bringing advanced technology to the most human parts of aerospace crisis response. With PersonalEffects, individuals and families can search for belongings the way they actually remember them, by describing an item in their own words, such as the pattern on a dress, or by matching it to a photograph of where it came from, including images of items from the store where they were bought. They can submit a claim through a simple self-service process and track its status centrally, rather than repeatedly contacting the response team for updates. Throughout, the application maintains the privacy and security controls that sensitive personal information demands, so families retain confidence that their information, and their loved one’s belongings, are protected. Emirates Engineering launches Material Futures Studio: Emirates Engineering has launched Material Futures Studio, a six-week programme that challenges university students to reimagine retired aircraft materials and transform them into new products. Led by the Upcycling department within Emirates Engineering, the Material Futures Studio brings students together with aviation professionals to work on real-world industry challenges, encouraging fresh thinking while helping develop the next generation of aviation talent. The first edition brought together 23 students representing Khalifa University, Emirates Aviation University and the University of Sharjah. The programme began with an orientation and tour of Emirates Engineering’s facilities, where students engaged with senior leaders and gained first-hand insight into maintenance operations like A-check and C-checks being carried out on the Emirates fleet as well as the upcycling shop where materials are being repurposed today. Over the next six weeks, students will use their learnings to come up with new concepts and ideas to upcycle and reuse aircraft materials into innovative products. They will be closely guided by team members from Emirates Engineering during the ideation and concept development stages. Bombardier delivers Challenger 3500 jet: Bombardier announced the delivery of its 200th Challenger 3500 jet to Piero Ferrari, Vice Chairman of Ferrari, bringing together one of business aviation’s most successful super-midsize jets with one of the world’s most iconic names in mobility, design and craftsmanship. The aircraft will support Ferrari’s travel to Formula One races and other business engagements, offering the performance, comfort and reliability required by a leader associated with excellence, precision and innovation. The Challenger 3500 jet has quickly established itself as a category leader, and we look forward to building on that momentum.” Air India Express starts flights from Bhopal: Air India Express today commenced operations from Raja Bhoj Airport, Bhopal, with the launch of two daily flights to Delhi and a daily flight to Mumbai, strengthening connectivity from Madhya Pradesh’s capital. The inaugural flight to Delhi departed Raja Bhoj Airport at 12:45 hrs and arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 14:15 hrs. The first flight to Mumbai departed Bhopal at 13:40 hrs and landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 15:25 hrs. Air India Express recently strengthened Madhya Pradesh’s international connectivity with the launch of direct flights between Indore and Abu Dhabi. With the commencement of services from Bhopal, the airline now operates around 55 weekly flights across Bhopal, Gwalior, and Indore. Air India expands service to Canada: Air India deployed its new B787-9 aircraft on Delhi-Toronto flights, bringing the airline’s all-new cabin product and onboard experience to Canada for the first time and significantly elevating passenger experience. Air India will launch a seasonal 3x weekly non-stop service between Mumbai and Toronto between 25 October 2026 and 26 March 2027, adding nearly 2,000 seats each week between India and Canada and making it the only carrier operating direct flights between the two cities. The service will be operated by Air India’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with significantly upgraded cabin interiors, featuring 8 luxurious First Class suites with privacy sliding doors, 40 flat beds in Business Class, and 280 seats in Economy. Travellers between Mumbai and Toronto will also enjoy WiFi internet connectivity on board the upgraded B777-300ER aircraft.
