The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has granted Flexjet authorisation to operate on-demand private jet flights within Saudi ArabiaThe General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has granted Flexjet authorisation to operate on-demand private jet flights within Saudi Arabia. Flexjet becomes the second international operator to receive this certification following the regulatory changes introduced on May 1, 2025.

GACA’s authorisation follows Flexjet successfully meeting all safety, regulatory, and operational requirements outlined under Saudi Arabia’s Civil Aviation Law, completing the full authorisation process and satisfying every mandatory criterion.

The authorisation was formally presented to Mr. Ben Watts, Chief Operating Officer at Flexjet EMEA, by Awad bin Attallah Al-Sulami, GACA’s Executive Vice President for Economic Policies and Logistics Services, during an official ceremony at GACA’s headquarters in Riyadh.

Al-Sulami said: “Authorising Flexjet to operate domestic on-demand private flights demonstrates GACA’s commitment to enabling high-quality aviation services built on the highest international safety standards. This milestone enhances competition, elevates customer experience, and supports the wider transformation of the Saudi aviation ecosystem in line with Vision 2030.”

Granting authorisation to Flexjet marks another important step in advancing the objectives of the Aviation Program under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to position Saudi Arabia as the leading aviation market in the Middle East by 2030.

GACA’s General Aviation Roadmap is guiding this transformation by aligning infrastructure development, regulation, and investment opportunities to meet rising demand for premium private aviation services among business travellers and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNW) across the Kingdom.
