Willis signs new AFI KLM E&M deal


Willis Lease Finance has signed a new engine and APU support contract with AFI KLM E&M.


The “Multi-year” deal will add the GE90 engine series, CFM56-5 series and the maintenance of all types of APU to the previous agreement covering its fleet of CF6-80 and CFM56-7 engines.
APU work will be carried out by EPCOR, AFI KLM E&M’s specialised subsidiary. The scope of the contract continues to cover overhaul and repair services, on-wing support, and pre-return check
s at the end of a lease, all on a “Time and Material” basis.Charles Willis at Willis Lease Finance said: “We have decided to put our trust in AFI KLM E&M once more as much to extend our long-standing relationship as to continue benefitting from its proven flexibility and know-how and comprehensive range of solutions tailored to our needs”.
Fabrice Defrance, senior vice president commercial AFI KLM E&M, said he was delighted with the agreement, “which strengthens our partnership with Willis and now includes EPCOR – a key player in the AFI KLM E&M global MRO network”.

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) recently inked an exclusive contract with AFI KLM E&M to provide engine support for the CFM56-5B power plants equipping its fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft.

The partnership between the two companies dates back to July 2012, when MAI chose to entrust to the MRO the component support of its fleet of A320.
