VistaJet’s drive for excellence recognised by Asian Business Aviation Association at their Icons of Aviation Awards

November 13th, 2017 Hong Kong – VistaJet, the first and only global business aviation company, surpassed its peers to be crowned the best operator for the second year running at the Asian Business Aviation Association’s Icons of Aviation Awards. The award is presented by AsBAA based on a vote by 150 of its members including business aviation operators, brokers, corporations, and peers in the general aviation industry from across Asia.

VistaJet strives to uphold its commitment to exceptional cabin services with a team of over 900 aviation professionals from more than 50 countries working around the clock to make sure every single flight is performed smoothly and to the highest safety standards, anywhere, anytime, around the globe.

The ASBAA award serves as rich recognition of these industry-first achievements. VistaJet is the first operator to offer a truly global service, and the first global operator to abolish repositioning fees worldwide for its members. It is the first operator to receive the Diamond Safety Award from the European Business Aviation Association, having surpassed 100,000 hours of flying without incident.

Innovation is a key component to VistaJet’s success. It recently launched its digital membership VistaJet Direct, which complements VistaJet’s flagship Program and On Demand services, allowing priority booking on VistaJet’s one-way and empty leg flights. This is the only end-to-end booking app in the industry with instant confirmation available.  VistaJet has also launched a WeChat booking platform to accommodate enquiries from Chinese customers as WeChat becomes the dominant communication tool for Chinese clients and business partners.

VistaJet President of Asia Leona Qi says:

“It’s an honour to be recognised as the best operator for the second consecutive year. Our Asia business has been increasing over 20% year-on-year, making it one of the fasting growing markets for VistaJet. This is recognition for all the good work the VistaJet team have put together behind each flight, and the trust that our clients and business partners have placed in us. The entire VistaJet team will continue to provide the best services and uphold the highest standards in the industry to deliver a second-to-none experience to our customers.”

Chairperson of AsBAA Jenny Lau says:

“VistaJet is an active member of the business aviation community in Asia and very deserved of the award. The Icons of Aviation Awards are voted for by AsBAA members, therefore VistaJet’s win is a clear indication of the strong position the company holds in the industry in Asia.”

A recent ground-breaking US$150 million investment from Rhone Capital has seen VistaJet receive the biggest valuation ever for a private aviation company, exceeding US$2.5 billion. With its strong financial standing, VistaJet has great plans ahead to continue its global expansion and develop its network of partnerships across Asia and the rest of the world.
