Vietnam’s JetStar signs MOU for A320ceos

Airbus announced at Farnborough that Ho Chi Minh City-based low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific Airlines has signed an MOU for 10 A320ceo aircraft worth up to US$980 million at list prices. Vietnam’s JetStar carrier is a joint venture between Vietnam Airlines and the Qantas Group and currently operates 12 leased A320ceo family aircraft to 28 domestic and regional destinations. The moves comes after the JV partners announced they would shore up the airline’s capital base with a US$139 million injection over the next four years.

“This agreement marks a milestone in our development,” said Le Hong Ha, CEO of Jetstar Pacific. “The new aircraft will allow us to expand our operation on our international network from Vietnam as part of the wider Jetstar Group.”
