Vietnam Airlines to Lease Six New A321neo from Aviation Capital Group

Aviation Capital Group announced today it has placed six new Airbus A321neo aircraft on long-term leases with Vietnam Airlines.

These aircraft are from ACG’s firm order book with Airbus and are scheduled for delivery in 2018 and 2019.

“We are extremely excited that Vietnam Airlines has selected ACG as a long-term partner to satisfy its fleet requirements,” said Mr. Khanh T. Tran, CEO of ACG. “We look forward to Vietnam Airlines operating these highly fuel-efficient aircraft in their growing route network.”

“We are very pleased to complete this important lease transaction with ACG and this will be part of our ongoing commitment to offer high service quality to the customers,” said Mr. Duong Tri Thanh, President and CEO of Vietnam Airlines. “The A321 family has proved to be the most suitable and effective aircraft on Vietnam Airlines’ domestic and short-haul routes.”

As it is expected to be operating 170 aircraft in 2020, Vietnam Airlines is aiming to become the second-largest full-service carrier in Southeast Asia.
