https://www.ses.ie/Vietjet and Lao Airlines have signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Vietjet announcing a new route between Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane. Under the agreement, Vietjet and Lao Airlines, the national airline of Laos, have become comprehensive partners in passenger and cargo transportation. Both airlines will also expand cooperation in technical fields, aircraft maintenance and repair, aviation workforce training, and more.

In response to the rising travel demands, Vietjet will launch the brand new Ho Chi Minh City – Vientiane direct service starting February 2024, making it the only direct route in the market between the two localities. The new route is expected to operate four weekly return flights, with a flight time of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes per leg.

Vietjet also said it was launching new routes including Hanoi – Jakarta (Indonesia) and Phu Quoc – Busan (South Korea), linking Vietnam’s top destinations to popular destinations across Asia.

Vietjet’s Phu Quoc – Busan route has commenced operations. The Phu Quoc – Busan route operates seven round-trip flights per week, with a flight time of only 5 hours and 30 minutes per leg.
