VietJet signs credit agreement with BNP Paribas
BNP Paribas and Vietjet have signed an agreement that will see the French bank provide a US$60 million credit to finance the carrier’s purchase of aircrafts in 2015 and 2016.
The US$60 million credit will help Vietjet make advance payment to Airbus. VietJet says the agreement underlines the cooperation between BNP Paribas and Vietjet, following the BNP Paribas’s agreement to become financial adviser to Vietjet in relation to lease financing seven aircraft that Vietjet received in 2014 and 2015.
The aircrafts that are financed under this agreement, are parts of 100 aircraft-leasing and purchasing agreement that Vietjet signed with Airbus.
