Vietjet has inaugurated its direct service connecting Da Nang to the vibrant city of Ahmedabad in India. This new route reinforces Vietjet’s position as the airline with the most connections between the two countries, further enhancing its extensive flight network.
The new Da Nang-Ahmedabad service offers two round-trip flights per week, strengthening travel and trade connections while promoting tourism and cultural exchanges across Asia. With additional flights, travellers from Northeast and Southeast Asia can now transit through Da Nang more easily to reach India’s major cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and now Ahmedabad, via Vietjet’s extensive network.
Since 2019, Vietjet has pioneered direct routes between Vietnam and India. The new route adds to the airline’s flight network of 8 routes and 60 weekly flights, connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang with New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, and Ahmedabad.
Da Nang, celebrated for its beautiful beaches and scenic landscapes, is Vietnam’s most livable city and a gateway to Central Vietnam’s cultural treasures, including the ancient town of Hoi An, the archaeological site of My Son, and the historic capital of Hue. Similarly, Ahmedabad, a major city in the Indian state of Gujarat, is known for its rich cultural heritage, iconic landmarks, and vibrant culinary scene.
The Da Nang-Ahmedabad route is part of Vietjet’s broader strategy to expand its flight network across Asia. The airline currently connects Singapore with major Vietnamese cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, providing convenient travel options for Singaporeans. Vietjet also plans to launch new routes connecting Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur and Nha Trang to Daegu, as well as resume the Ho Chi Minh City-Tainan route, and increase flight frequencies throughout the region.
As part of its expansion strategy, Vietjet has recently added a new aircraft to its fleet and expects more deliveries by year-end. Alongside its professional and dedicated crews, these additions aim to meet the growing demand for travel and ensure passengers enjoy exceptional flying experiences.
