VietJet inks GECAS deal
VietJet has inked a sale–and-leaseback deal with GECAS for two Airbus A320 aircraft.
The two aircraft are part of the fleet order made by VietJet in February this year, for a total of 100 Airbus aircraft to be delivered from 2014 to 2018.
With BNP Paribas acting as the financial advisor to VietJet, this agreement will see Airbus deliver both the aircraft in November and December respectively.
The self-styled new age carrier says it will use the aircraft to accelerate its expansion plans within the region.
