VietJet goes double daily on HCMC-Singapore
Vietjet has added a second daily flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore, starting at the end of May.
The Airbus A320 operator said when launching a daily service to the City State last year that it planned to go double daily on the route. Managing director Luu Duc Khanh also said at the time that flights from Hanoi and Danang would be offered at some point.
With two round trips per day, the new route will have a capacity of 5,040 seats per week. The expanded schedule will see daily flights depart Singapore Changi International Airport at 1.50pm and 6.00pm (local time) and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 8.55am and 2.00pm (local time). The flight duration is around two hours.
Vietjet currently operate 150 flights per day with a fleet of 21 A320 Airbus aircraft on 28 routes domestically and internationally. The hybrid carrier has suspended plans to launch flights to Vladivostok due to the Russian crisis.
