STARLUX Airlines inaugurates Taipei-Clark route

Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of its daily service between Taipei and Clark, the airline’s third destination in the Philippines. Now North American travelers can easily fly from Los Angeles to Clark – the gateway to northern Philippines and island tourist destinations – via Taipei. STARLUX currently serves the Philippines with flights to both Manila and Cebu.

“Today marks a significant milestone as we expand our service from Clark to Taipei, a route we expect will increase our competitiveness in the North American market by significantly reducing travel time for passengers heading to the northern Philippines for family, leisure, or business,” said STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai. “Clark has tremendous business and tourism potential. Formerly the largest U.S. military base in Asia, Clark offers a mix of fascinating history, a fast-growing economic center, breathtaking natural landscapes, and vibrant cultural experiences that will leave a lasting impression on every traveler who visits.”

In addition to offering greater convenience, STARLUX’s premium in-flight service will attract more business travelers seeking luxury and comfort. In 2022, the United States was the biggest market of international tourists traveling to the Philippines. Today, there are more than four million Filipinos in the U.S., its third largest Asian group. Many Filipino Americans maintain strong familial and business ties to the Philippines and travel often to maintain these ties.

STARLUX is serving the route with its next-generation Airbus A321neo aircraft configured in a two-class layout, with eight seats in Business Class and 180 in Economy Class. The schedule for the new flights to Clark is shown below:
