Greenbird Managing Director, Sara Hales said, “We are pleased to have an Australian MRO join Greenbird. A key aspect of establishing the AAM industry in Australia is ensuring every aspect of the supply chain is involved. Aircraft maintenance is critical to ensuring the continuing airworthiness of AAM aircraft, and the contribution of such a key MRO player is a valuable addition to the platform.”

Sigma Aerospace Director Matthew Wheatley said, “New technology coming to market provides an opportunity to repurpose general aviation through the use of alternative technology, such as electric and hydrogen propulsion systems and associated components. Being a part of Greenbird and being connected with AAM focused organisations presents a significant opportunity to revive general aviation in regional Australia. We see AAM technology as a key enabler for connecting regional communities, improving supply chains, creating Australian jobs, and helping to reduce Australia’s carbon footprint.”

Greenbird is bringing together international expertise and local supply chain partners to develop and enable local industry capability in the AAM sector. The industry is ready and backing the push for AAM in Australia. Led by trusted airport and aviation industry advisors, AVISTRA, Greenbird is dedicated to facilitating the entry and growth of the AAM industry in Australia.
