SCOOT TAKES FIRST SELETAR TRENT 1000

Scoot takes first Seletar Trent 1000

Rolls-Royce has delivered the first Trent 1000 assembled in its Seletar, Singapore facility to Scoot.

The Singaporean carrier will use the engine as a spare for its Boeing 787 fleet – it was due to take delivery of the first of 20 Dreamliners it has on order in early February.

The first flight, also in February, will be to Perth. “As a Singapore-based airline we support all things Singapore – and it’s especially fantastic to be able to feature Singapore-built engines on our brand-new 787s,” said Campbell Wilson, Scoot’s CEO.

Scoot will phase out its six Boeing 777-200s by November and will have 10 787s by the end of the year.
