Proposed start-up Fly Mojo signs LOI for 20 CS100s
Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Malaysian proposed start-up Fly Mojo for 20 CS100 aircraft with options for an additional 20 CS100 aircraft.
Few details of the new airline, branded flymojo, are known. It will have bases in Johor Bahru (its primary hub) and Kota Kinabalu.
How it will compete against the likes of AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and Malindo in one of the most competitive markets in the region is not clear.
Flymojo’s chairman is Alies Anor Abdul, with Janardhanan Gopala Krishnan as managing director.
Based on the list price of the CS100 aircraft, a firm order would be valued at approximately US$1.47 billion.
“Born of the desire to make air travel a much-anticipated and longed for experience, flymojo is dedicated to providing value, and exceptional customer service that will focus on putting the human touch back into flying,” said flymojo Chairman, Alies Anor Abdul at the signing ceremony at the LIMA Air Show.
