Tamarack Aerospace marks 200th winglet installation

Tamarack Aerospace Group reached a significant achievement recently, celebrating the completion of its 200th Active Winglet installation at its Transformation Center in Sandpoint, Idaho. This milestone highlights years of innovation, growth, and collaboration, underscoring the company’s impact on both the CitationJet fleet and the broader aviation industry. The journey to 200 installations began with a single bold idea: to enhance aircraft performance through cutting-edge winglet technology. What started as a concept from founder and CEO Nick Guida has grown into a pioneering solution that has reshaped the way CitationJet owners view fuel efficiency, climb performance, and sustainability. “This moment is a reflection of everything we’ve accomplished over the years,” said Guida during the late December celebration. “It’s not just about the technology we’ve developed, but the people who have believed in it and trusted us with their aircraft. This milestone is for everyone who supported our mission.” The 200th installation also carried special meaning for Drew Forhan, the owner of the milestone aircraft. Forhan has been a supporter of Tamarack from the early days, having also been the owner of the company’s 50th installation. His continued faith in the technology underscores the growing trust in Tamarack’s winglet solutions. “I was the 50th customer on the CJ1+, and now I’m celebrating the 200th milestone with Tamarack. It’s been an incredible journey,” said Mr. Forhan, “I commend Tamarack for their perseverance, belief in their technology, and the future of the company. I think great things are ahead for them.” Tamarack’s Active Winglets are designed to reduce drag, increase lift, and alleviate wing loads dynamically—delivering significant improvements in fuel efficiency, climb performance, and overall aircraft handling. As the industry increasingly turns its focus to sustainability, Tamarack’s technology has emerged as an effective solution for operators seeking to reduce operating costs and environmental impact. “This milestone is not the end, but rather a stepping stone for what’s to come,” Klinginsmith added. “Each new installation further strengthens our resolve to redefine aviation performance and continue to push the boundaries of efficiency and innovation.” The event surrounding the 200th installation was a celebration not just of the company’s success but of the people who helped make it possible. Tamarack’s engineers, partners, and customers came together to reflect on the journey and take pride in the company’s achievements. For Tamarack, reaching 200 installations is just the beginning. The company is expanding its technology into both private and commercial aviation, with a continued focus on creating more sustainable and efficient solutions for the industry. As Guida noted, “This milestone is a reminder of the possibilities that come when innovation meets trust. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but even more excited about the future.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Matt Driskill at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Head of Sales Kay Rolland at [email protected]
