Singapore Airlines name new board members

Singapore Airlines announced the appointments of Lee Theng Kiat and Henrik Poulsen to its Board with effect from 19 October 2026. Lee will serve as a non-independent, non-executive Director. He is not a nominee of SIA’s largest shareholder, Temasek Holdings. He will join the Board Executive Committee and the Board Safety and Risk Committee. Poulsen will serve as an independent, non-executive Director. From 15 February 2027, he will join the Board Safety and Risk Committee. Lee Theng Kiat Lee chairs Singapore Telecommunications Ltd and Singapore Energy Interconnections Pte Ltd, and serves on the Board of Temasek Holdings and the Board of Temasek Capital China Holdings. His prior appointments include serving on the board of SPH Media Trust and as Chairman of Temasek International. Lee joined Temasek in 2012 and held key leadership roles, including as President and Chief Executive Officer of Temasek International, before retiring from his executive role in 2021. During this time, he was instrumental in shaping Temasek’s strategic direction, strengthening its institutional capabilities, and guiding the organisation through transformation and growth. Before joining Temasek, Lee was concurrently President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte Ltd and STT Communications Ltd, where he led their growth and oversaw their investments, as well as information and communications businesses. Lee joined the Singapore Technologies group of companies in 1985 and held senior positions overseeing legal matters and strategic business development. Prior to that, he served in the Singapore Legal Service for more than eight years. Lee holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore. Henrik Poulsen Poulsen is currently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Carlsberg A/S, as well as Chairman of the Board of Faerch A/S and Flatpay ApS. He is also a Director of Bertelsmann SE a Co. KGaA and a Senior Adviser to A.P. M0ller Holding A/S. Previously, Poulsen held leadership positions in Danish companies, including Vice Chairman of Novo Nordisk A/S from 2022 to 2025, CEO and President of 0rsted A/S from 2012 to 2020, and CEO of TDC A/S from 2008 to 2012. He was also an Operating Executive at Capstone, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts a Co., and held various executive roles with LEGO. Prior to joining LEGO, he worked at McKinsey a Co. in Copenhagen and New York. Poulsen holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in International Business and Finance from Aarhus School of Business in Denmark.
