Plaza Premium Group officially opens new lounges at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has officially opened its Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). In 2025, BKK recorded 62.9 million passengers, with international traffic accounting for over 80% of total volume. Airports of Thailand advances a major infrastructure expansion to increase annual capacity from 65 to 80 million by 2030 — growth that positions the airport as a strategic anchor for PPG’s market entry in Thailand. The lounges are located airside on Concourse G. Spanning 212 square metres with a capacity for over 50 guests, PPF offers an intimate, highly personalised environment featuring private lounge bays, shower suites, and dedicated concierge assistance. Dining centres on Primo Dining, an à la carte concept featuring refined Thai specialties such as Aep Pla (banana-leaf grilled fish), Tom Kha Gai, and Northern-style Khao Soi. At the centrepiece Aero Bar, guests can enjoy fine spirits, wine, and original cocktails like the Tom Yum-inspired Siamese Martini. Covering 578 square metres for up to 98 guests, PPL provides high-quality hospitality centred on comfort and convenience. The lounge features a live kitchen and buffet serving freshly prepared Som Tam, Gai Ping skewers, and Luk Chup sweets. Amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, recharge stations, shower suites, a multi-faith room, and family facilities. “Thailand remains one of Southeast Asia’s primary aviation and tourism gateways, making Suvarnabhumi Airport a natural home for our flagship dual-lounge launch,” said Song Hoi-See, Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group. “Bringing this concept to Bangkok allows us to offer travellers a distinct sense of place through authentic Thai flavours and art, while setting a new regional standard for choice, flexibility, and high-quality hospitality.” Dnata appoints new MD of catering and retail in Ireland dnata, a leading global air and travel services provider, has appointed Siobhán Meaney as Managing Director of its Catering & Retail business in Ireland, effective 1 October 2026.
