Liebherr-Aerospace is strengthening its presence in Australasia with the opening of a new representative office in Sydney, Australia. The new office is located within the existing Liebherr Group facility in Pyrmont, New South Wales. The new location will bring the company closer to customers and partners while supporting its continued development across Australia and New Zealand. Both countries represent an important market for Liebherr-Aerospace, encompassing commercial aviation and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities. “We are very pleased to be closer to our customers in Australia and New Zealand. This new presence reflects our commitment to the region and will help us strengthen collaboration with customers and partners,” says Joël Cadaux, Asia-Pacific Regional Head for the Aerospace & Transportation Division. “Liebherr-Australia is part of the global Liebherr Group and has delivered high-quality machinery, services and technical support across Australia since 1981. We are very pleased to welcome the aerospace and transportation systems division to our Sydney facility,” says Andrew Schultz, Managing Director of Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd. The opening comes at a time when the Australian aviation market is preparing for extensive fleet-development programs, including the Qantas Group’s “Project Sunrise” with the Airbus A350-1000ULR, the introduction of the Airbus A321XLR and the modernization of its regional fleet.
