Singapore-based LAMINAAR Aviation Infotech has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Malaysia’s Global Component Asia (GCA), formerly known as RUAG Aviation Malaysia. Under the MOU, GCA will partner with LAMINAAR to market the ARMS enterprise software solution in Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. Vivek Sheorey, CEO of Laminaar Aviation Infotech, said: “We are extremely happy to partner with GCA and benefit from its strength in the region. We look forward to making this partnership a huge success.” Syahrul Azmir Zaki, CEO of GCA said: “This partnership represents a further expansion that complements our existing product portfolios and I trust this will benefit both parties by leveraging our respective strengths in market segments and capabilities. I am confident our partnership will bring much success to both our companies.” LAMINAAR’s proprietary application software ARMS is designed to meet the needs of airlines as well as civil and military air operators. GCA, which is based at Subang Airport near Kuala Lumpur, does maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of starter generators and lighting equipment for helicopters and regional turboprops. It serves airlines as well as civil and military air operators. ARMS includes modules designed specifically for government and military operators. These help planners to prioritise operational tasks to meet strategic objectives across different fleets, equipment, systems and environments. Meanwhile, airlines and civil air operators – such as emergency medical services, search and rescue organisations, etc – use LAMINAAR Aviation Infotech’s ARMS software suite to execute tasks, critical to their operations, in an efficient and timely manner. These tasks include commercial planning, flight operations, flight planning and despatch, crew management, safety and quality management, engineering and maintenance, etc. For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Matt Driskill at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Head of Sales Kay Rolland at [email protected]
