Jetstar Asia signs MRO deals with ST Engineering

Jetstar Asia announced a new three-year line and base maintenance service agreement and a multi-year component repair service agreement with ST Engineering to support Jetstar Asia’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. ST Engineering has been providing line and base maintenance and engineering support to Singapore-based low-cost carrier, Jetstar Asia since 2013. Moving forward, line and base maintenance will now be complemented by ST Engineering’s component repair service. Under the component repair services agreement, ST Engineering will provide Jetstar Asia with comprehensive repair management services through its in-house component repair and overhaul facilities and global repair network. Jetstar Asia’s Head of Engineering, Ang Chee Keong said Jetstar Asia was delighted to renew the new line maintenance services agreement with ST Engineering and was confident the new component repair services agreement would further strengthen the long-standing relationship. “For more than a decade, ST Engineering has helped us build a strong record in maintaining our A320 fleet, Ang said. “During the pandemic, ST Engineering continued to provide invaluable support to Jetstar Asia as we worked to ensure the safety of our fleet through what was an incredibly challenging time for aviation. Now, as demand for our passenger services grows, we look forward to working with ST Engineering to improve our operational responsiveness, ensure fleet safety and continue to lower operating costs as we ramp up our operations.” Executive vice president and head of MRO at ST Engineering, Tan Eng Shu, said: “We are committed to supporting our customers with our comprehensive range of services. We treasure our long-term partnership with Jetstar Asia, and we are happy to support them as their flying activities increase as they continue to recover from the impact of the pandemic, through our wide-ranging MRO capabilities in this region and globally. With the new line and base maintenance and component repair services agreements, we look forward to strengthening our value-add to Jetstar Asia and helping them meet their operational needs and targets.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Matt Driskill at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Head of Sales Kay Rolland at [email protected]
