HAVELSAN wins EASA nod for A320 FFS

HAVELSAN, a Türkiye-based flight simulator solution provider and manufacturer, has  received the EASA Level D for the Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) developed for Turkish Airlines’ training infrastructure. Delivered to strengthen Turkish Airlines’ flight training capacity and capabilities, the A320 FFS has been developed to simulate three different engine options, including both CEO and NEO configurations. Additionally, HAVELSAN’s in-house developed STARVIEW Collimated Display System has been integrated into the A320 FFS and has received EASA Level D certification for the first time. The simulator has been installed at Turkish Airlines’ training center in İstanbul and will be used in the airline’s active training operations. With this addition, Turkish Airlines now operates a total of three HAVELSAN manufactured A320 Full Flight Simulators. New B737 MAX-8 sim agreement between HAVELSAN and Boeing As part of the new agreement signed with Boeing, HAVELSAN is adding the B737 MAX-8 Full Flight Simulator to its production line through the direct procurement of a Boeing simulation data package. To date, HAVELSAN’s B737 MAX simulators have been developed using buyer-furnished data provided by customers. With this new agreement, HAVELSAN will manage the simulator development process by directly procuring the required data package from Boeing for simulators to be developed for potential customers. This approach allows for a more integrated and streamlined development process, while reinforcing compliance with OEM standards. This step represents a tangible reflection of HAVELSAN’s vision to strengthen its global presence in advanced training and simulation solutions and to further enhance its capabilities in full flight simulator development. HAVELSAN, Advanced Rotorcraft Technology partner on rotor training HAVELSAN has taken a strategic step to strengthen its global vision in advanced simulation and training solutions for rotary-wing platforms by signing a comprehensive cooperation agreement with U.S.-based Advanced Rotocraft Technology, Inc. (ART). Within the scope of the collaboration, HAVELSAN and Advanced Rotarcraft Technology will carry out joint activities in the field of simulation and training solutions for rotary-wing aircraft. The agreement aims at the development of simulators for both military and civil pilot training, the integration of high-fidelity and engine models, and the creation of simulation environments tailored to different mission profiles. By combining HAVELSAN’s globally established simulator infrastructure and expertise in training technologies with ART’s technologies, advanced know-how in rotary wing flight physics and engine modelling, the partnership aims to establish one of the most advanced simulation platforms focused on military training and operational readiness. Through this collaboration, a holistic simulation approach will be delivered, supporting both basic pilot training and complex military mission scenarios for helicopters and VTOL platforms.
