German Airways continues its growth strategy and will expand its fleet with an additional Embraer E190 aircraft for the Summer Schedule 2026. The aircraft will carry the registration D-ABKE and will be based in Germany, further strengthening the airline’s operational footprint in its home market and its capacity for European charter and ACMI operations. The Embraer E190 has proven to be a highly reliable and efficient aircraft within the German Airways fleet. It combines strong operational performance with a modern cabin and high flexibility, making it ideally suited for wet-lease, charter and ACMI missions. The fleet expansion reflects the sustained demand from customers for reliable capacity and operational excellence. “The addition of another E190 clearly underlines our commitment to sustainable growth and the long-term development of German Airways,” says Maren Wolters, Managing Director of German Airways. “By basing the aircraft in Germany, we further enhance our operational stability and flexibility while creating a strong foundation to expand existing partnerships and develop new customer projects.” With the induction of D-ABKE, German Airways will further strengthen its position as a reliable European airline partner. At the same time, the company will create additional jobs in flight operations, cabin crew and maintenance, while continuing to invest in training, safety and operational resilience.
