Cebu Pacific ups South Korea-Philippine flights

The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific (CEB), continues to expand its footprint in South Korea as it resumes its direct flights to Cebu, a popular holiday destination in the Philippines. Starting 3 July, CEB will operate twice weekly flights from Seoul (Incheon) to Cebu, every Thursday and Sunday. Flight 5J 129 is estimated to depart Seoul International Airport at 6:55pm and will arrive at Mactan Cebu International Airport at 10:50pm Philippine local time. “We look forward to welcoming South Koreans and their families to plan their travels to warm Cebu and rediscover what it has to offer – from diving spots to sandbars, to canyoneering activities, to feasting on lechon and mangoes. This route resumption also enables fellow Filipinos working or residing in Seoul to conveniently fly direct to Cebu,” said CEB Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao. The carrier is offering flights to 22 domestic destinations which tourists may also visit from Cebu, namely, Bacolod, Boracay, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calbayog, Camiguin, Clark, Coron, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Legazpi, Manila, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Surigao, Tacloban, and Zamboanga. CEB also flies to Manila from Seoul every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and will be flying daily starting 1 June. South Korean nationals are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of 30 days.
