BOC Aviation signs lease deal with SKY Airline

BOC Aviation announced it has agreed to purchase and leaseback three Airbus A321XLR aircraft to new customer SKY Airline on long-term operating leases. All aircraft will be powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, with delivery scheduled for 2026 and 2027. “We are very pleased to welcome SKY as a new customer for BOC Aviation as it continues to build its fleet of latest generation, most fuel-efficient aircraft,” said Steven Townend, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, BOC Aviation. “The Airbus A321XLR is a great example of this, and these aircraft mark the first of this model currently scheduled for delivery into our fleet.” “We are proud to partner with BOC Aviation in this agreement, which supports SKY’s continued growth and our commitment to operating one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in the region. BOC Aviation is a global aircraft operating leasing company with a portfolio of 815 aircraft and engines owned, managed and on order. Its owned and managed fleet was leased to 87 airlines in 46 countries and regions worldwide as at 31 December 2025. Avolon updates on Q1 business Avolon, a leading global aviation finance company, issues an update for the first quarter of 2026. The company said it acquired 14 aircraft and sold 19 during the quarter and ended Q1 with 84 aircraft agreed for sale. The company placed 17 new-technology aircraft from existing commitments, ending the quarter with 85% of our orderbook placed through the end of 2028 and executed 60 lease agreements, extensions and amendments.
