Airbus Helicopters has officially inaugurated its new regional logistics hub in Singapore, marking a major expansion of its support and services footprint in the Asia-Pacific region. The hub is designed to streamline the supply chain, providing faster and more reliable parts distribution to customers across 21 countries and territories. “This new regional logistics hub marks a pivotal milestone, positioning Singapore at the heart of our global support network,” said Vincent Dubrule, Senior Vice President Asia-Pacific at Airbus Helicopters. “Establishing this capability here is more than expanding our footprint. It is about building a logistics supply chain that is agile. This hub represents a long-term investment in our customers’ mission success, delivering faster, reliable, and predictable support across Asia-Pacific well into the future.” Regional Network and Customer Support The Singapore hub serves as the flagship regional logistics network, complementing parts distribution centres in Hong Kong and Perth, Australia. Together, these centres support 12 customer centres with dedicated material support and logistics teams managing spares, repairs, Aircraft on Ground (AOG) assistance, and HCare programmes. Advanced Facility and Technology Covering nearly 2,000 sqm, the hub features four loading bays and houses over 20,000 part numbers, including new spares and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) components. The facility integrates four vertical lift modules (VLMs) – an automated, high-density storage system that delivers items directly to operators, optimising floor space and reducing retrieval times for critical components. Specialised Storage for Sensitive Components A 55 sqm elastomers room within the hub safeguards the most sensitive inventory. Maintaining a controlled temperature between 5°C and 25°C, this “warehouse within a warehouse” protects up to 2,000 critical components, ensuring operational reliability and long-term performance. The hub launched with an initial inventory valued at EUR 10 million, with plans to double as it reaches full operational capacity.
