GE Aerospace announced that AirAsia will be using Fuel Insight to strengthen its fuel efficiency strategy across its fleet. This marks a renewed collaboration between AirAsia and GE Aerospace’s Software as a Service business, reinforcing the reliability and proven value of the technology platform. Fuel Insight will provide the AirAsia Aviation Group, including all its Air Operator Certificates (AOCs) in Southeast Asia, with a group-wide solution to help optimise fuel use and improve flight operations. By leveraging advanced analytics and tools based on real flight and operational data, AirAsia’s operations team will be able to identify key opportunities to enhance fuel performance, improve route planning and reduce unnecessary burn. These insights are expected to drive cost savings and enhance operational reliability and sustainability by identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary fuel burn. Captain Chester Voo, Deputy Group CEO (Airline Operations) of AirAsia Aviation Group said: “This relationship is a strategic step forward in strengthening how we manage fuel efficiency across the Group. GE Aerospace’s technology enables us to make smarter, data-informed decisions that support both our cost-efficiency and sustainability strategies, helping us operate more efficiently and in turn, offer more competitive fares for our guests.” “Fuel Insight is all about empowering airlines with the data and tools they need to safely operate more efficiently and more sustainably,” said Andrew Coleman, General Manager of GE Aerospace, Software as a Service. “AirAsia has been a trailblazer in this regard for over a decade and we are excited to see AirAsia’s ambition to build on this strength and lead our industry to new heights with our technology at the forefront of its sustainability initiatives.” Vellox Group acquires ADSoftware Vellox Group, the global leader in unified aviation operations software, announced the acquisition of ADSoftware (“ADS”), a French-based provider of CAMO and maintenance software trusted by high-criticality aviation operators around the world.
