Air Tahiti welcomes its first all-business-class ATR

Air Tahiti said it has inducted its first ATR aircraft configured entirely in Business Class. Named ĀNAPANAPA, the aircraft will operate under the airline’s premium brand, Air Tahiti Signature. After a six-day ferry flight from Toulouse-Francazal, this new ATR 72-600 ushers in a new chapter for the airline, as it sets out to offer a more exclusive and personalised inter-island travel experience, with an even greater focus on passenger comfort, the airline said. Departing Toulouse-Francazal on October 13, the new ATR 72-600, configured entirely in Business Class, crossed three continents and made seven technical stops along the way: Cairo, Muscat, Hyderabad, Subang, Lombok, Cairns and Nadi, before reaching Tahiti-Faa’a International Airport. From November 10 to December 7, 2026, Air Tahiti Signature will enter a soft-launch phase dedicated to tourism professionals, marking a key milestone in preparation for its commercial launch. During this period, travel agencies and tour operators will be invited to discover and experience this new offering firsthand. This phase will allow them to familiarize themselves with its distinctive features and gain a better understanding of its benefits ahead of introducing it to their customers. This discovery phase is an important step in the rollout of Air Tahiti Signature, preparing tourism professionals for its upcoming commercial launch and encouraging adoption across the industry. The first commercial flights operated under Air Tahiti Signature are scheduled to begin on December 8, 2026, serving Bora Bora and Raiatea-Taha’a. With this new offering, Air Tahiti expands its range of services and reaffirms its commitment to elevating the inter-island travel experience. This premium service has been designed to meet the expectations of travelers seeking greater comfort, exclusivity and personalised attention. Air Tahiti Signature represents a major innovation in scheduled regional air transport and a significant milestone in the airline’s evolution. By introducing an aircraft dedicated entirely to Business Class, Air Tahiti is opening up new possibilities for travel to Bora Bora and Raiatea-Taha’a. This new offering is built around a comprehensive approach to the travel experience, with particular attention paid to every stage of the passenger journey. From the airport experience and onboard service to arrival at the destination, every detail has been considered to deliver a smoother, more comfortable and more personalized experience.
