A 10-year partnership agreement between Airport Development Group (ADG) and SSP will bring new food and beverage offerings to both Darwin International Airport (DIA) and Alice Springs Airport (ASA). The new partnership will see a staged transformation of the terminal food and beverage outlets and a range of new offerings. SSP is already working with major airports around Australia including Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, and Perth airports, and provides a range of national and international brands as well as bespoke concepts. Executive General Manager Property & Terminal, Ross Baynes said he was excited about the partnership and what it will deliver for customers. “Food and beverage offerings at airports are inextricably linked to customer experience,” said Baynes, “so it is really important we offer variety, quality and value. The new partnership between SSP and ADG has been nearly 12-months in the making to ensure we get the offerings just right for our customers. We are really thrilled to be bringing this level of customer experience to passengers travelling through our airports.” From 1 July, SSP will progressively open several new brands and concepts in the existing tenancies across both Darwin and Alice Springs. Over the coming months, seven of these sites will be fully re-developed as part of the exciting terminal re-development. This will see national favourites, Roll’d and Red Rooster in new locations, joined by bespoke SSP brands such as Pronto, Soul + Grain, The Gliding Goose and The Northern Common. Commenting on the win, Shane Beyer, chief operating officer of SSP APAC said: “This new venture will be our first business in the important Northern Territory of Australia. We’re looking forward to bringing passengers passing through Darwin a chance to experience what is great about the Territory, and what makes it so unique. Developed in close partnership with our colleagues at the airport, the mix offered will appeal to all passengers, catering for all day parts late into the evening. The project will be an outstanding showcase of our ability to provide a truly impressive F&B offer for the Australian market.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Matt Driskill at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Head of Sales Kay Rolland at [email protected]
